01Our Journey
GM Car A/C Service was founded in 2019 in Kallikuppam, Ambattur, Chennai with a simple vision — to provide honest, affordable, and expert car air conditioning services that customers can truly trust.
What started as a small one-man A/C repair workshop has grown into an independent multibrand A/C, general and electrical service workshop. Since 2019, GM has built its service around diagnosis before replacement and clear estimates before approved work.
G.M. Manigandan is the founder, Managing Director and lead technician of GM Car A/C Service. He has worked on cars with his own hands since 2018 — car A/C, general service, auto electrical and diagnostics — and opened the first workshop in 2019.
He still works on cars. The rule the workshop runs on — find the fault before recommending a part, and put the estimate in the customer's hands before touching anything — is his, and he trains every technician here in it rather than delegating it. He also teaches the 27-day A/C technician course himself, on customer vehicles coming through the same bays. Customers from Ambattur, Avadi, Anna Nagar, Padi, Mogappair and across Chennai deal with the person who diagnoses their car, not a counter between them and him.
